Disaster Site Worker Outreach Training Program:
Skilled support services, (e.g. utility, demolition, debris removal, or heavy equipment operation) or site clean-up services in response to natural and man-made disasters. Specifically, it is recognized that all workers at disaster sites need to be aware of the differences between disaster sites and regular construction or demolition worksites and be able to inspect, don, and doff air-purifying respirators. Also, the program will make management and labor aware that pre-incident training is essential for ensuring disaster site worker safety and health.
Through the program, individuals who complete a four day OSHA trainer course are authorized to teach the Disaster Site Worker Course #7600. Authorized trainers can receive OSHA course completion cards for their students.
OSHA Authorizing Training Organizations
Below is a list of authorizing training organizations. These are the organizations (primarily OSHA Training Institute Education Centers) that sponsor OSHA trainer courses. A trainer's authorizing training organization is listed at top of their trainer card, below "U.S. Department of Labor." This is a trainer's primary point of contact. Each authorizing training organization has specific instructions on reporting outreach training by e-mail, fax, or online.
Here at the Detroit Training Center, we are focused on providing our students with quality training that prepares them for a competitive job market.
We’re also focused on placing students into jobs when they finish our training courses. 92% of students seeking jobs after course completion have received employment. DTC has an ever-expanding list of partners in a variety of industries looking to hire students who have demonstrated a high level of achievement within our training programs. We work hard to train students in order to make them available to employers.
